Precision Cancer Research Institute (PCRI) as the name suggests was founded on the premise of precision oncology – promoting translational research and personalized cancer treatment for all cancer afflicted patients with utmost care, respect and empathy. It was founded by Dr. Anshul Agrawal and Dr. Dhruv Mehta as a venture of and for hemato – oncologists, but also inclusive of pediatric hemato – oncologists, hematologists and bone marrow transplant physicians, oncopathologists, radiologists, oncosurgeons, cancer psychologists, pain and palliative care specialists and clinical research teams. The ultimate goal is to provide comprehensive hematological and oncological precision care to all cancer afflicted patients of South Gujarat and India.

Prior to PCRI, Dr. Anshul and Dr. Dhruv had fledging individual clinical practice – Aviva Oncology Centre and South Gujarat Hematology Oncology Centre (SGHOC). Coming together with a singular vision of precision individualized cancer care, Aviva Oncology Centre was closed down and SGHOC became a unit of PCRI. Now with expansion of their practice, PCRI has two-day care centers now – Udhana branch at SGHOC, Milestone Indigo and Adajan branch at PCRI, Shreepad Central Vista. Both combined have 17 beds (3 dedicated to pediatric patients), an oncopathology laboratories and in house pharmacies at both centers. To eliminate the need for patients to travel to Surat from surrounding towns and cities, PCRI intends to have dedicated day care or OPD branches at Bardoli, Navsari, Valsad – Vapi, Daman – Silvassa, Nandurbar and Ankleshwar – Bharuch. Also, in line with teleconsultation guidelines from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), both consultants are actively involved in promoting tele – consultation across India. The directors’ vision is to ultimately develop a company which can support budding medical hemato – oncologists and their family in the growth of their career.
